About This Event / イベントについて
Konno Hachimangu, Shibuya's tutelary shrine, hosts its annual Konnomaru Festival and Cherry Blossom Festival on the last weekend of March. The highlight is the special unveiling of the Konnomaru wooden statue, carved at age 17 — a once-a-year event.
The historic Konno-zakura cherry tree, transplanted by Minamoto no Yoritomo from Kamakura, features a rare mix of double and single blooms. The festival combines traditional rites with hanami revelry in a compact, atmospheric shrine setting.

Photography allowed in grounds but not inside the halls.
