Harajuku is never static. Between the sacred forest of Meiji Jingu, the boutique-lined Omotesando, and the buzz of Takeshita Street, the district hosts a year-round calendar of festivals, pop-ups, and seasonal displays. From spring cherry blossoms to winter illuminations, there's always something happening.

Plan Your Visit
Most Harajuku festivals are free and within walking distance of JR Harajuku Station. Summer events are crowded and humid, so arrive early, carry water, and wear comfortable shoes. For shopping campaigns, check individual store websites for exact dates and participation rules.
