About Ura-Harajuku

Ura-Harajuku is the nickname for the back streets of Jingumae, mainly 3-chome and 4-chome east of Meiji-dori. Cat Street is the spine. Side alleys hold vintage shops that Takeshita no longer holds. There is no single official site. GO TOKYO’s Harajuku page is the tourism listing. Design Festa Gallery sits in Jingumae 3-chome (a later attraction row). Onden Shrine is the ujigami of old Onden in 5-chome. Do not fold this into Takeshita Street. Do not insert Miyashita Park here; that park is Shibuya, not Harajuku core.
