Great little place - staff super friendly and just want to chat, the art is pretty cool, and they do decent drinks.

JOINT HARAJUKU is a bar and gallery space occupying the second floor of a greenery-covered, nostalgically styled building tucked behind Tokyu Plaza Harajuku. The venue describes itself as a joint where people, things, culture and ideas intersect, and it lives up to that ethos by hosting a rotating programme of art exhibitions alongside its regular bar service. It is located just one minute on foot from Meiji-Jingumae Station, making it one of the most easily accessible creative spaces in the area. The gallery hosts solo and group exhibitions by emerging and established artists, with shows changing regularly. Past exhibitions have included collaborations between painters and photographers, as well as themed showcases tied to Tokyo's broader cultural calendar. The bar serves a range of drinks in an intimate setting with around 15 seated places, and the space can also be rented for private events, accommodating up to 30 people standing. JOINT HARAJUKU also operates a studio space on the basement level, available for photo shoots, workshops and similar creative uses. The venue's distinctive character, combining art, nightlife and community in a single compact space, reflects the creative spirit that has long defined Harajuku as a neighbourhood.
