The spot boasts fantastic rap music and a superb cut of Kobe beef that literally melts in your mouth. Their regular beef is also excellent, and the restaurant is located in the basement.

Red Rock Harajuku is a bustling steak and rice-bowl restaurant tucked into the basement of the Hulic Aoyama Building in the Ura-Harajuku district. It has earned a devoted following, both locally and internationally, for its eye-catching roast beef don, a generous bowl of rice crowned with thin slices of roseate beef arranged in a dramatic spiral and finished with a raw egg yolk. The dish became a viral sensation partly thanks to its popularity with K-pop group BTS during their visits to Tokyo. Beyond the signature roast beef bowl, the menu extends to kalbi BBQ bowls, loco moco-inspired plates, and hamburger steaks, all prepared with decent-quality meat and presented with the same visual flair. Portion sizes are generous, and the average spend hovers around 1,500 yen, making it one of the better-value proper meal options in a neighbourhood otherwise dominated by snacks and sweets. The restaurant seats around 30 diners and is open from 11:30 to 21:30 daily, with last orders at 21:00. Queues are common during peak lunch and dinner hours, particularly at weekends, and solo diners or couples tend to be seated more quickly than larger groups. It is a five-minute walk from Meiji-jingumae Station.
