Harajuku Rock Bar Half Moon sits on the second floor at 3-21-20 Jingumae, tucked behind Takeshita Street and a five-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station. The bar is run by a friendly master from Hiroshima and built around an ever-changing record collection spun through the night. The room seats around thirty, with an intimate, old-school feel that has drawn regulars for years. Drinks are straightforward and fairly priced, with the night budget running roughly 3,000 to 4,000 yen, and the bar stays open until 02:00. In the daytime it doubles as a rare curry rice lunch spot, with a bar-like atmosphere. It suits rock fans, vinyl hunters and anyone wanting a relaxed, late-night drink away from Harajuku's busier bar strips. Note that a related Half Moon magic bar operates separately. Walk-ins are the norm, with the bar best visited after 20:00 for the full record-spinning mood. Official: http://www.jingumae.jp/~halfmoon
