About This Event / イベントについて
HARAKADO MEXICO FESTA 2026 is the second year AVOCADO fills Tokyu Plaza Harajuku 6F for Mexico Independence weekend. Saturday 12 September runs 11:00–23:00. Sunday 13 September closes at 20:00. Entry is free. Food, shops, and some workshops charge separately. The whole programme stays indoors on the food-hall floor, so a light rain does not kill it.
Mexico City musician Alex Mejia's mariachi group Mariachi La Fiesta plays two 30-minute sets each day: 15:30 and 17:15 on Saturday, 14:30 and 16:30 on Sunday. Saturday night is Endless Salud, a free DJ stretch from 18:00 to 23:00 with YOSUKE BAOBAB, shopADLT, Chinbantei Goraku, Toyo Chiku, and HiGE'ORGE. Sunday 17:00–20:00 is CORONA SUNSETS HOUR with Qnel and Hanah Spring, backed by AB InBev Japan.
Mexican Grill AVOCADO on the same floor sells burritos, tacos, Corona Extra, and tequila cocktails. Limited menus land at 5F Izakaya Stand Jump and at 6F ABC canteen, Banh Mi Sandwich, Falafel Brothers, and Giolitti. Face paint by Mihoo is 500 yen for a one-point, 1,000 yen half face, 2,000 yen full face, 11:00–20:00 both days. Saturday 12:00–21:00 Chiaki Iisaka runs a pinata workshop at 2,500 yen, 30–60 minutes. Sunday she draws calavera portraits at 1,500 yen for up to two people, about 20–30 minutes. An ofrenda altar sits on 6F for photos.
Pop-up stalls: BuenaBuena Mexican crafts both days, Kutushita to Sake bobo socks Saturday only, Hot Sauce Bar, and Daikanyama Jump Coffee selling Veracruz beans. Spend at two or more 6F stalls plus 5F Stand Jump, show the receipts at the AVOCADO register, and the first 50 people each day get a drink. Sunday 15:00–20:00, three Corona Extra or Corona Cero bottles unlock a T-shirt silkscreen session. Nearest stations are Meiji-Jingumae and Harajuku. Organiser is AVOCADO, with backing from Mexico's agriculture office in Japan and Tokyu Fudosan.
