About This Event / イベントについて
Meiji Jingu's Setsubun Festival on February 3 is a solemn Shinto rite — unlike other shrines' celebrity bean-throwing events, Meiji Jingu keeps the ceremony dignified and traditional.
Fukumame (lucky beans) are distributed from January 8 through February 3 at the Kagura-den. The 80th anniversary of the Meiji Jingu Sukeikai adds significance in 2026.

Relatively uncrowded on a weekday — arrive before 11:00.
平日のため比較的空いている。11時までに到着を。
Pick up fukumame in advance at the shrine office (Jan 8–Feb 3).
福豆は事前に授与所で受け取れる（1/8～2/3）。
Combine with a walk through Yoyogi Park afterwards.
代々木公園の散策と組み合わせるのがおすすめ。
