CAFE BANKSIA is the cafe stand attached to SPACE BANKSIA, an exhibition and event space in Jingumae that features white walls, wood floors and a terrace, all a short walk from both Harajuku and Omotesando stations. The cafe opened in 2021 as a natural extension of the gallery, offering visitors a place to pause with a good cup between exhibitions, art workshops and pop-up markets. The coffee programme is the highlight: single-origin beans from Fungas Brothers' Naked Beans range, hand-dripped to order, with two to four origins typically stocked - think Ethiopian Geisha, Guatemalan Pacamara, Kenyan Maasai and Tanzanian selections. Beyond coffee, the menu includes craft tea from SOTTO CHAKKA, a small producer in Shimane's Kakigi village that works with wild-foraged leaves and pan-roasted tea, alongside beer. Weekday hours run 12:00 to 17:00, with weekends extending to around 18:30. For a thoughtfully made coffee in a creative, art-adjacent setting just off the Omotesando main drag, CAFE BANKSIA is a calm, characterful alternative to the area's busier cafes. Sip slowly, browse the gallery, and enjoy a quieter side of Harajuku.+81 80-7940-4740
