November tickets for ACN presents Yoyogi Forest of Lights went on sale 1 October. If you are in Harajuku in mid-November, that is the stack to buy now. December and January stay locked until Thursday 15 October 2026 at 10:00. The walk itself starts Friday 13 November and ends Monday 11 January 2027. Lights 17:30 to 22:00. The park does not sell tickets at the gate. Miss the slot on your phone and you turn around at the cycling-course fence.
The 30-minute door is the whole product
TBS Ticket sells timed entry every half hour from 17:30 through 20:30. You have to be inside that 30-minute window. The last window, 20:30, stops selling at 20:00. Last physical entry is 21:00. The park goes dark for visitors at 22:00. A 17:30 ticket is a full evening. A 20:30 ticket is a sprint. There is no re-entry. Eat and use a toilet on Takeshita or at Harajuku Station before you scan in. The official FAQ says there is no cloak, no coin locker, and no nursing room on site.
The event page holds the 17-zone list, the full price grid, and the park rules. This note is about buying and walking. Lawson Ticket and TBS Ticket both list the same date windows. Mastercard cardholders have a separate Lawson sale URL. One checkout caps at 15 tickets. After you pay, the date does not move. Cancellation is off unless the organiser stops the night. Electronic tickets can be split to people walking in with you, if each phone can show MOALA Ticket.
Weekday November is the cheap walk
Adult tax-in on TBS: November early bird ¥2,400, regular weekday ¥3,200, weekend and holiday ¥3,800, Christmas 23 to 25 December ¥4,600. Junior high and high school sit at ¥1,200, ¥1,600, ¥2,000, ¥2,400 on the same four columns. Elementary is ¥500, ¥800, ¥1,000, ¥1,200. Preschoolers are free, two per guardian. The guardian still needs a ticket. If you bring three preschoolers, bring two adults. Elementary-age children cannot enter alone.
November early bird is the number that makes a Harajuku night trip make sense. Weekend December and Christmas are for people who already decided to stand in a Tokyo illumination queue. If you only have a Tuesday in late November, buy that Tuesday now. Do not wait for 15 October and then fight December with everyone who delayed.
It is the cycling course, not the festival lawn
Weekend maps of Yoyogi Park send people to Event Plaza, the big grass used for Earth Garden, PEACE DAY, and food trucks. Forest of Lights is the cycling-course loop, address 2-1 Yoyogikamizonocho. JR Harajuku is about 3 minutes. Meiji-jingumae and Yoyogi-koen are about 3. Yoyogi-Hachiman is about 6. The minute count shifts with which gate they open. There is no event car park. Do not drive.
The path is 1.8km and parts of it are kept dark on purpose. Watch your feet. Pets can come on a leash if you bag waste. Wheelchairs and strollers can do the whole loop. They do not lend either. Bikes stay out of the lit zone. The park is no-smoking. Live streaming is banned. Ordinary photos are fine. Selfie sticks and tripods are allowed if they do not block walkers. Lights, reflectors, and ladders are not. Staff may ask early arrivals to leave first when the path jams. That is written on the official FAQ, not a rumour.
Food on the loop is still a short list
Two names are up: Malins, billed as Asia's first UK fish-and-chips association certified shop, and NarraTive for tea and scones. More trucks will post closer to 13 November. Do not plan dinner on two logos. Eat in Harajuku if you are hungry, then walk the lights. Rain does not cancel the show. Snow might. The desk is 03-6705-5114, 09:00-17:00 including weekends. Official site and official X beat any hotel concierge printout.
If you are already on Takeshita the same night as Omotesando's pumpkin parade or the LAND Halloween basement, this is a different date and a different gate. Forest of Lights is a November-to-January ticket. Buy November while it is the early-bird column. Put 15 October 10:00 in the calendar if you need December.
